However, I checked Online help, but the MOVE function is not written. Please tell me about the following 3 points if you can. ①: Is the MOVE function prepared in LOGO!8 ? ②: If there is a MOVE function, is there a sample program ? ③: If there is no ②, a way to realize the MOVE function. : Take Omron as an example, if you say "MOV # 100 D100", a numerical value of 100 is stored in D100. Regards, Luke Mayer The LOGO! has no memory in the sense of a PLC with flag words or data blocks. It also has only a purely graphical programming. A "MOVE" like the OMRON does not exist in the LOGO !. MOVE can be used with LOGO! be different, depending on what you want to achieve. You would have to name a concrete case of what you want to achieve.

Numerical data (eg D0 = 100, D0 = FF, etc.) is stored in the data register by LOGO! 8 alone. I would like to program conditional branching and judging expressions using numerical data. Please tell me a simple example.

There is the e.g. the block "Analog MUX". In this block you can store 4 different integer values, which you can select via 2 control inputs. The LOGO! can only process integers, no floating point numbers. Probably an S7-1200 will be better for your case.

Can only process integers, no floating point numbers. If it is integer processing, I recognized that data storage (D 0 = 100) with LOGO! 8 using "Analog MUX" is possible, was it OK? If possible, it will be helpful if you can submit the sample program.

LukeMayer Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Thank you for teaching about integer handling and sample program in LOGO! 8. It is a pity that LOGO! 8 can not be programmed like a regular PLC. However, I think that there is no product with powerful network function and Web server built in this price range, it is an attractive PLC. Thank you very much for seeing this matter. #dP Posts: 2826 Rating: (692)	Hello Luke, The LOGO is a powerful tool to automate tasks - even if it is not in the strict sense a PLC. It is a philosophy change from what yo know of traditional PLCs you know. Just have a look at how active the German Language Forum is on the LOGO discussions. There is a very good chance that where you wish to use the MOVE instruction, there are other ways of doing so. For example the setpoint for a timer belongs to the timer block itself. The built-in screen or web server can point to this setpoint for make a user adjustable setting. For this example there is no need to move a value into a data register first. To be fair, the LOGO is not suited for making complex mathematical equations and controlling precision motion control. The next choices are the IOT2000 (think Arduino for industrial applications) and then the S7-1200. BR

LukeMayer Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Thank you for the information about LOGO! For FB (function block) setting such as timer, built-in screen, PWM etc., write the value on the setting screen for each FB. I think that the above is the data handling method of LOGO! . Regards, Luke Mayer

The only thing that is certain: A direct MOVE does not exist in the LOGO!. Basically, you can transfer data from one block to the other block, but you always have to look at the respective application. And there are only the programming languages LAD and FBD in LOGO !.
