You can find a WinCC script with detailed explanation for doing just this, but it is basically the same code given by lkkezelf. It also explains how to get around the problem of the flashing button in the start bar in Windows XP and 2000 - instead of bringing the application to the foreground, Windows invariably flashes the button instead which does not help when we have disabled keys like ALT+TAB and cannot switch to that window:

For this function to work you need to know the application's main window class name. For internet explorer it is "IEFrame", so you would use something like:

Handle = FindWindow("IEFrame", NULL);
...

The second parameter is the application title text, but this often changes depending on what is loaded in internet explorer.
