Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	i have created and alarm control window to show when and how logon and logout. i created a Global action triged by @CurrentUser (standar cycle 5s) with the next code: int pepe; pepe=strcmp(GetTagCharWait("@CurrentUser"),""); if (pepe) SetTagBitWait("users",TRUE); //Return - Type :BOOL else SetTagBitWait("users",FALSE); //Return - Type :BOOL It works Ok, the problem is that when i activate the project and i logon first time the username doesn't appear in the window. Any idea???

It could be that the alarm system does not see the transition from NULL to 1 as an alarm condition. If that doesn't work then I agree with Nemo and you should put some printf statements in your code to see if the IF THEN statement is executing as expected.

I have heard it isn't recomendable

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Using sleep will stop all scripts from executing for the amount of time specified, not only the script where you specified it in. I never use sleep. Normally I implement a counter function to "wait" some time. with regards, Ikkezelf

However as you have set the interval to only 1 second I think this should be OK. The question really is why it should make a difference. Unfortunately I don't know the answer !

This takes approximately 1.5 seconds on my machine. You can increase / decrease the value to increase / decrease the wait time.
