These inputs are initially meant to be controlled from the faceplate, not by interconnection.
So when the block is in manual mode and there is nothing blocking from controlling like an interlock it will start and stop the motor.

The StartAut and StopAut are meant to be interconnected to start and stop the motor in automatic mode.

Do you have a printscreen from the situation of the yellow/dark yellow, not sure what is happening in your case.
