Control panel for LOGO!

jonask Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi! I am a guy from Sweden who is building a smal automation system at home. Im using an Siemens LOGO! basic PLC together with 2 expansion modules to control light and security systems through out my house. However I would like to expand my system and put up displays in some of my rooms where I can control status of my system and sensors and also change options. I noticed that for Simatic there is a display called Siemens TP 177Micro Touchpanel. I was woundering if there is any product similar to this that will work together with the logo? If there is who do you program this device, directly on the display or threw software on the computer?`Where can I buy it? Is it possible to connect more than one display?. Thanks Jonas Kristensson

STOKIE Posts: 10 Rating: (4)	Within the current product range of the Logo! there is no seperate HMI. The TP177 Micro is for the S7-200 range of PLC.

Basically because I am building this for private use i dont want to spend to much money. What do you sugest I do? I thank you for all the help I can get. Jonas Kristensson

SPAINLOGO Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Estimated friend "jonask": In my opinion you must use the standard KNX/ EIB module to SIEMENS LOGO! and late you can connect all the element for this standard, tactil panels, weather station, etc. Standard KNX/EIB it is an international ( allthe important trademarks made productscompatible with this standar ABB, Theben, etc)standar to domotic house or public applications, you can know more about it in the web page(www.eiba.de). I tyhing that it is perfect solution of the problem do you want to resolve, and to teh apllication do you want to make. I have a lot of experience with this standar , if you want I can help you. For example a weather station to interact with your PLC? but is it possible to connect a control panel to this device aswell? Do you have any sugestions for a control panel that would fit? EIB_HMI_devices If you like them you can find some more information to EIB under following applications: Set8 Set28 But in general i would suggest you to think about if its not too late to switch to s7-200 visualization is simple more easier there than on logo side.
