Help on selecting motors?

desmul24 Posts: 378 Rating: (73)	Dear dears, My application requires: 1. High efficiency relative to waight. 2. High speed 2500 RPM to 3000RPM. 3. Drive controlled (position control) 4. Built in mechanical cluch for engaging/disengaging rotor ( b/c my application requires very low ramp up time). 5. 3Kw or nearest available. Based on the above could you suggest me some models? Regards

E.g. 1FT7066-xAF with 2,92KW @ 3000upm Controlled could be the motors via SINAMICS S120. The point 4 will be a problem. Becausethe smallerSiemens motors (1FK/1FT)have no integrated clutch. Maybe you canconnectan external clutch.

Attached is a sample bill of material for motor and drive system. Note: The motor in bill of material does not have a holding brake. If a holding brake is needed then bill of material would need to be modified slightly. desmul24 Posts: 378 Rating: (73)	Thanks for your replay! I don't mean mechanical brake, I mean mechanical clutch for engaging and disengaging the rotating rotor. The advantage of this is the rotor is continously runing but if we want to rotate the shaft we have to activate the clutch, in this way the speed of shaft reaches its maximum speed in a very short time (much much better than any of motor drives). My point is is there any Siemens motor having mechanical clutch? Thanks again
