HSC Two phase

calvin_huy Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	I use Rotaty encoder 600ppr , It's used to read Pulse for distance from A to B , I want to read count up from A to B and count down from B to A , it's mean when I run from A to B and then run from B to A , result of ID1000 is 0 . I use CPU 1214C DC/DC/DC. Please give me some advices , what mode can I choose ? Such as : single phase , two phase , a/b quadrature or a/b quadrature x4! sorry for lack of knowlegde!

We had a thread about this type of thing, a while back. The S7-1200 documentation on the differences between these modes could have been better. Please follow this thread: [LINK1]. For information beyond what you need, you can refer to [LINK2]. For you it boils down to "AB quadrature" OR "AB quadrature x4". I would go for "AB quadrature x4", but there is a catch. Please make sure you read the caution given in the first link (LINK1). This should clear up any doubts.. but if any remain - please return with your questions. Regards. w
