I would like to process frequency from sonar-BERO in s7-200

jaruj Regular Member Joined: 11/9/2005 Last visit: 10/23/2024 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello I have sonar BERO 3RG6233-3RS00. Measuring range is from 0.25m to 1.5m. Output of sensor is from 250Hz to 1500Hz. How can I evaluate it in S7200?Could you give me detailed decription? Thanks

neo Posts: 264 Rating: (59)	Hello Jaruj, you can use the integrated high-speed counters of the s7-200, e.g. the E0.0 Then you only have to configure it in your software. I think there´s also an assistant for this in Step 7 Microwin. You can find detailed information in the system manual of S7-200 page 118. On page 132 there´s also an example. I´ve several applications realized with these high speed counters, (0-20mA converted to 0..10000Hz) and they all work fine! best regards

neo Posts: 264 Rating: (59)	Hello jaruj, Yes, you have to use interrupts. in first cycle you have to set counter type 0 for HSC0 and configure an interrupt program that runs every 250ms. In the interrupt program you have to read Counter value calculate the value. and reset the counter! best regards
