IM308C and ET200S

borrowitch Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have a problems with an ET200S i add to an existing S5 profibus. The IM308C (with a S5-135U) do not want the ET200S in profibus DP communication. with Com-profibus i can seethe ET200S (i can see analog and digital input via State/command panel) and of course the IM308C (diagnostic/export/import) diagnostic of ET200S direct on slave says: "ET200S is ready but not parametrize by a master" diagnostic of ET200S on master says: "ET200S not present" ET200S led is BF flickering (and analog input/power module fault led) IM308C led is just the green "run" The profibus also inclued an existingET200U (wish i removed from profibus for testing facility) when iimport IM308C config (i havepreviously export into him)via com-profibus; the ET200S is just not present like i did not inclued him in my config! so i dont thinks its a cable problem (i can see/communicate with the IM308C and ET200S via com-profibus) i have tested the ET200Son a S7-315DP. no problems. material un-compatibility? configuration error by myself?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hi, I wonder myself what GSD File you used to configure the ET 200S? I don't know, but if you just replace the ET200 U with the ET200S by address but not by the configuration, including GSD File, it will not work. You have to configure the ET200S in the COM PROFIBUS Project of the IM308C and load this Project to the IM. If the Slave is not present for the Master, that’s how it looks like at the Slave, the Master would not just be set to run, you would see a fault. Please try to change the COM PROFIBUS Project the way that you can see the ET200S in the configuration, with the right GSD or GSEFile. Best regards J_Bell

borrowitch Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	i used the latest gsd files available on this website the ET200U was at address 3 (never change that, only removed it from my project a few time for testing) my ET200S was at address 4 (also used adress 8 for testing purpose, same result) IM308C used address 1 i also note that there is two IM151-1(ET200S) availlable in my library one as ref: 6ES7-151-1AA0*-0AB0 (ET200S) and one as ref: 6ES7-151-1AA04-0AB0 (ET200S DPV1) i used the second because it match my ref written on my card and the first did not allow to select the exact ref. of my DI/AI/DO modules (only oldermodules version available) what DPV1 means?

There are some special functions which can't be done by older PROFIBUS-Interfaces. It would be surprising for me if the IM308C would be able to communicate via PROFIBUS DPV1. So you have to configure the ET200S as a DP-Slave communication via the older PROFIBUS-Version. I would try to use the "old" MLFB. Haven't it tested until now, but it should work Best regards Sabine

[:o] Also I/O-cards that uses DPV1 to parametrize won't work, they are not in the GSD-files that works in a IM 308C or DP-Card for SIMATIC TI. You have to use the older GSD-files that are starting with SIEM8xxx.GSE, all other ones won't work!! All the GSD starting with SI018.. and SI028.. are not working on a IM 308C or SIMATIC TI DP-Card. [:(] This is for ET200S/M/L So you need the newest file SIEM806Afrom the file IM151-1AA0x_Std-CU.zip, please be careful with cards that are not in these GSD-file, they won't work. Under http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/652154you may find the mentioned file. Best regards, Late
