LogoSoft Error "unable to access the remote device"

CRS_tech Member Joined: 12/17/2018 Last visit: 8/10/2022 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have the same problem. - I installed LSC 8.3 - the refresh button (two blue arrows in circle) finds the device (with IP 192.168.0.3) - the "connect" button doesn't work: "Unable to access the remote device" . I have a Windows 10 PC, i tried with automatic and manual IP and the Logo is the 6ED1052-1CC08-0BA1. P.s. the connection with old Logo like 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA0 works properly. The LOGO! must have a fix IP address. And if you try to connect the LOGO! trough a router and the router works with DCHP, then must the IP address be out of the DHCP range.

In addition, the old LOGO!, with the same IP address (192.168.0.3) connects to the PC without problems. I have tried to give the LOGO! another IP address, out of the DHCP range and it doesn't work as well (see the picture attached). The first adapter has follow addresses: IPV4 = 192.168.071 Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0 Gateway = 192.168.0.254 The second adapter has follow addresses: IPV4 = 192.168.254 Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0 Gateway = 0.0.0.0 I don't know which ethernet are you have in use.

I let just the ethernet connection that interest the LOGO! (where the address is 192.168.000.254) Anyway, I have tried to give the logo other IP adresses until I found one (the 192.168.000.150) that works. This means that the IP addresses I gave before were probably already assigned. However, it remains strange that the old LOGO! device works also with the already assigned IP 192.168.000.003. Anyway, thank you for your time and your support, it helped a lot! Regards, Giorgio

Is this still the case that the BM needs to be outside the DHCP range? IF so this is a massive issue for industrial installations. I can't understand why my CMR2040, my Logo Soft 8.3 can "see" the device but can't download to it. This has taken me most of the day to get to this point! Only to find out we might not be able to use it.
