PC Adapter USB A2 will not Connect

PC Adapter USB A2 6GK1 571-0BA00-0AA0 has an internal error when I connect.

(An internal error (n_pnp.c(901),0xc0000182,0xf0000) I am using a windows XP via Virtual Box.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

which Step7 you have installed in the VM?
Do you use USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports to connect the adapter?

My Laptop has both USB 2 and 3 it does the same for both.

The Simatic Version I am using is V5.4 +SP4 revision K5 4.4.0

do you install the correct drivers for the Adapter?
With Step7 V5.4 you need to install the drivers seperatly.

I have installed the drivers from the CD provided with the adapter.

Once installed and VM restarted I plug in the the adapter and the same fault occurs.

I have the same problem than you ! Have you find a way to connect your adapter without the internal error message ?

I'm using a VM too for WinXP 2002 SP3 and I'd use the CD driver deliver with the adapter without any problem in the installation but it continues to give me the internal error message...

Enable USB 2.0 controller in virtual PC settings then start it. This method solve my problem in xp virtual pc on windows 7 desktop. both of them are 32bit versions. when i connect PC adapter to host PC and enable it on my virtual PC it doesn't work. before enabling USB 2 there was an error on PC adapter in device manager and it can not start with internal error. it seems to be driver error but by enabling usb 2 the problem disappeared.
