Here is a useful 'toy' which I put together some time ago. It drives a 'sludge pump', this is a positive displacement pump, like a SEPEX or MONO type device for pumping sludge in the Water industry, in this case it was feeding matter to a digester. The plan is to leave this control enabled, and periodically it will pump for a timed period, during this period it will monitor torque, which will be proportional to the density of the sludge. This 'product' should only be pumped if it is 'de-watered' that is it is in a semi solid state, but still sufficiently soft that it can be pumped. If this product is in a 'wet' state, then the plan is not to pump. This system will be used to feed a 'digester' with product which is in a semi solid state, which the digester can handle. I hope this is useful, and you can make it work.. Attachmentsludge pump.pptx (299 Downloads) |
