What firmware version is required for the 416-CPU to accept ET 200MP IO?

Hazard_7 Advanced Member Joined: 5/30/2022 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 598 Rating: (97)	Hi Autoen_608590, I don't think the firmware version matters, all you have to do is import the GSD file into STEP 7 V5.x: Generating a GSD File The only limitation I have found is that you must use at least STEP 7 V5.5 SP4 HF1 to be able to add GSD files, this information can be found at: PROFINET GSD files: I/O - ET 200MP

Configuration is carried out with STEP 7 V5.5 SP3 and a GSDML file." You have to update your catalog and install all GSD files. For CPU FW, it is always recommended to update FW to the latest FW although previous FW(s) can operate the attached IO modules.

Now we have to add ET200MP module (6ES7 155-5AA00-0AC0) but we receive error that "firmware version 6.0 for s7-400. Please find attachment for reference. however for S7-416 CPU (6ES7 416-3ER05-0AB0) firmware 5.3 is latest. kindly suggest needful. Attachment 416 error.docx (482 Downloads)
