Only problem that this unit needs separate power supply (5V/1A). sometimes this will be a limiting factor I will recommend another option too - Mikrotik wireless AP-s. Not so cheap (almost x5 of TP-Link price), but still cheaper than CIM. As a rule - Mikrotiks powered by 12...30V DC (including PoE), some even to 60V DC and most of them are weatherproof. Some have option for LTE as well, wifi is almost standard. Many have option to attach to DIN rail. I personally used LTAP minis for several years for controlling boilerhouses, some of them just bolted on outside wall (-30 C is not uncommon here). Software is RouterOS - very powerful, you can do pretty impressive things (including a own scripting language), but needs some learning. |
