Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding the sizing of the MPCB (3RV2011-...).

The servo motor here is 1,4 kW (1FK7044-4CH) but converter (PM 240-2) is 2,2kW.

Should i look at the motor's point of view and size the MPCB at the rated current of the servo motor or

should i look at the converter's point of view?

Just for the record servo motor has got 3.9A whereas converter has got 6,1 A HO and 7,7A LO.

Does anyone know what is the rule of the thumb?

Hello,

assuming, the parameterization is correct, the motor is protected by the inverter. For the protection of the inverter, you can refer to the protective devices for Power Modules PM240-2.
