Jorgesk Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, Im new to this forum and i need some help in getting the Ident_Code required for licensing. Im openning in online mode the IDB of MODBUS as specified in the manual but im always receiving an empty string in the IDENT_CODE, the error code im receiving is the A090 which is the one that tells you that its without a license. also the STATUS_FUNC is empty '' I already tested the comms and functions and everything works fine, but i cant get the code in order to get the license. Thanks in advance.

You must open the data block in the "online view" via "File" -> "Open ONLINE". Please check this. Or you go to online view in SIMATIC Manager, open the datablock in the online CPU and then view with the glasses button. Wüstenräuber

Edit: I tested the same program with the simulator and i can see the IDENT_CODE there, can i use this code to get my license or i have to get it using the real hardware, it's strange that i can see the code in simulation and not using the real hardware.. any thoughts?

Jorgesk Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Sakura, Im using FB108 MODBUSCP V. 2.2 Im connecting by Ethernet TCP to download the program to the CPU, the cpu im using is a CPU315-2 DP and the CP is a 343-1 Lean, any ideas?

In the screenshot it seems that you didn't open the data block online. Please click to the marked button and try it again. Which MLFB has your CPU? Jorgesk Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, Sorry for the delay, i already installed the CP with the CPU on field which is a 313C, i did the same steps i was doing to retrieve the code and it worked, maybe the cpu wasnt somehow compatible (315 2 DP) . thanks for your support, greetings!
