Hello All,

I am doing a commissioning with revamping project. The old setup are S7400 with Simatic manager and now we are are upgrading with s71500 and TIA portal V17.

The Existing Setup:

SOFTWARE : SIMATIC MANAGER V5.x

PLC : CPU 412-2 DP

INTERFACE MODULE : IM153-2

COUNTER MODULE : FM350-1

This application has a requirement to read the accumulator position through the absolute encoder by using the FM Module. The block used to read the actual position of accumulator is FC0(CNT_CNTL) please refer below.

New Setup :

SOFTWARE : TIA Portal V17

PLC : CPU 1515-2 PN

INTERFACE MODULE : IM153-2

COUNTER MODULE : FM350-1

Modification Done By Myself: The Software Backup Migrated from manager V5.x to TIA Portal V17. All the Blocks successfully migrated except the FM module Library which is mentioned in above fig.

My Understanding: The Library of FM module may be not compatible for S7 1500 CPU’s. That’s why it is not migrated/error.

My Question:

1. In TIA Portal V17 have inbuilt instruction set to read the FM 350 counter module data?

2.Any customized library is available with siemens to read the data of FM 350 counter module?

3.S71500 CPU not compatible to read FM 350 counter module data?
