how to enabling eno1 port only if DI0 is true

bob78 Advanced Member Joined: 5/22/2015 Last visit: 9/2/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I'd like to add security to the IOT. Is it possible to keep disable de port eno1 until the DI0 (GPIO) became true. I try with node-red, but i cannot find how to control de eno1 port. With Python?

Use the DI input node in node-red. Depending on the DI you can trigger a command with the exec node. A command would be to trigger ifdown eno1 when the DI is 0 and ifup eno1 when the DI is 1. I can also provide a flow when I successfully tested it. Best regards!
