Hello SureshR Please Check out the Delivery Release of the new 1SI Modules. As per the delivery release, you need to use the New Function Blocks V2.0 with the new modules You can download the new Function Blocks from Here BTW How did you conclude that the 1SI Modbus module is faulty ? I am assuming that you checked the Modbus communication with weigh-feeders.using a Modbus Tester. If you have not checked, It may well be that problem lies elsewhere. I would suggest you should connect a PC with RS485 convertor to the RS485 network and monitor the communication using a Port monitor. Pl check if the 1SI is not transmitting or if the Slaves are not replying. Or you can check if the weigh feeders are communicating on Modbus using a Modbus Test Tool like Modscan / MBpoll. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Hello Navnag, Thanks for the reply, -- once i put the faulty module in the rack, am getting SF/BF error in the IM151 module and as well as in the CPU. -- As u said, i have already checked the modbus communication from weigh feeders with modscan and its working perfectly -- am not getting any led indication (Rx/Tx) from 138-4DF11-0AB0 module, i hope which means the modbus master module(138-4DF11-0AB0) is not polling to the slaves -- i didt change any function blocks in the program, which was working fine with 138-4DF10-0AB0 module. I hope i need to update function blocks to read from slaves.kindly confirm the same. |

Just Check the Versionof Blocks S_RECV_SI ( Normally FB2 ) - Should be V2.1 or higher and S_SEND_SI ( Normally FB 3 ). - Should be V 2.3 or higher You can check the firmware version of the 1SI Module in "Hardware Diagnostics" and if needed, update the firmware. Download the Firmwares from here " If you have FBs of older versions in your program, copy the new FBs to your program. Update the Instance Data Blocks and Download to the CPU. This should solve the problem. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Hello SureshR First of all Pl check the following : a) Have you have assigned same Profile ( No of Bytes 4/8/32 etc. )and properties to the new 1SI Module as the Old 1SI , then compiled the Hardware configuration and downloaded to CPU. b) Have you Done a PLC Reset ( Power OFF / ON ) after downloading the new FBs and INstance DBs ? SFCERR is available in the instance DB in the "STAT" area. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |
