Dear fellow Siemens suers, I am writing to you as I am looking for some guidance on IO module fusing that is very typical for Siemens. The issue is as follows. We recently received four newly built DCS panels that use three type of IO modules: • 6ES7331-7HF01-0AB0 - ANALOG INPUT MODULE • 6ES7332-5HF00-0AB0 - ANALOG OUTPUT MODULE • 6ES7322-8BH10-0AB0 - DIGITAL OUTPUT MODULE (24VDC) • 6ES7322-5HF00-0AB0 - RELAY DIGITAL OUTPUT MODULE (Dry contact) The analog input and output modules are fused with 125mA fuses. The digital outputs and the relay outputs are fused with 500mA fuses. My question is, where can I find the fuse sizes recommended by Siemens, especially for the analog inputs? I was looking over some data sheets, where the “damage level current” for the analog inputs is 40mA. (see attached). All our analog inputs are loop-powered. Does that mean that the fuse sizing has to be 40mA as well? Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it if you can give me some directions on how to select proper fuse sizing, I was Not able to find anything relevant online. Best regards, Datigo Turia (Датиго Туря) Attachment6ES73317HF010AB0_datasheet_en (2).pdf (257 Downloads) |
