Hello Hans Wilhelm, For IOT2050 Advanced, after making RS485 configuration changes, a complete power cycle is essential - a normal reboot is not sufficient. You must:
Please have a look into the topic Adjust Peripherals on IOT2050 Advanced in our Application Example to find more information about the configuration. I copied you the necessary steps:
After making changes in iot2050setup, don't just reboot - perform a complete power cycle. |

Hello Hans Wilhelm, now I understand - you're using Industrial OS instead of our Example Image. Thats also the reason why you can't access the iot2050setup tool. I would recommend you to use the Example Image and to have a look in our Serial Connection Example. If you don't want to switch to the Example Image you should be able to call these switchserialmode-commands... IOT2050 Basic:
IOT2050 Advanced:
The only problem is that you need to call these commands with every reboot so you should add this command to an autostart-script. BR |

Hello Hans Wilhelm! You need to decide on your own if it makes sense to copy the Example Image to the internal memory (eMMC). The benefits would be:
It's important to have in mind that the eMMC will be completely erased with the installation. To your second question: Our IOT2050 Advanced comes with an pre-installed version of IndOS (by default IndOS 3.2.3 at Advanced FS:09) I guess you have removed this default-version with the re-install (Service Stick). You can find the Service Stick with IndOS 3.2.3 on our Download Page to go back to this version. BR |
