Hi all,

I have CM1243-5 ProfiBus modul.

Profibus address: 1

Network settings:

   Speed: 1.5Mbps

   Profile: Standar (also tried DP)

   Enable cyclic distribution of bus parameters - checked

On second side Networ analyzer Schrack, with profibus module MGF3900P.

Profibus address: 14

On CM diagnostics:

Status: Error in lower-level component

Addresses:

1 - active in ring

14 - passive

On net analyzer diagnostics:

Status: Not reachable.

I also have 3 another devices which is currently not power supplyed.

What can be the problem?

I tride to change profile from DP to Standard, change transmission speed 1.5Mbps, 187.5 Kbs etc.

Turn of, and on termination resistors.

Status always the same. 

Could the problem be in gsd file?!

CM1243-5 directly connceted to Netanalyzer via cable (which is NOT purple profibus cable)

On both ends termination is on. Distance is short max 2m between these two devices.

Also, as I said, there are three more devices which are not connected in network, but they are in my project.

PC is connected via profinet cable to PLC.

On some posts, somebody mention PUT-GET must be permited?!!!

But main problem is profibus communication, where put get permission which is not mandatory (I think) for valid communication between cm master module and profibus slave device

 You don't need PUT/GET enabled for Profibus DP communication between master and slave units.

Error in lower level component message appears if you have configured nodes disconnected from the network, like you described that you do have them disconnected.

Hello Milosh;

To stop the master from polling the missing slaves, you cn:

- reconfigure the Profibus network to remove the uninstalled slaves;

- use D_ACT_DP (SFC 12 in Step 7 Classic) instruction to disable the polling of these slaves in the master's poll cycle.

How do you enable and disable DP slaves and IO devices using the 'D_ACT_DP' instruction?

Ok, I will try it, and get back with the new information.

I dont mention that in CPU diag. buffer for all Profibus devices I get error new IO access error....

If I understand, if connection is good I should be able to get data from netanalyzer,no metter for other 3 devices states?! 

Other 3 devices are turned off. They are behind netanalyzer. I turn on termination resistor on CM1243 and netanalyzer.

So the network is terminated on the ends of the first segment. I will attach network tomorrow morning.
