Communication via Profibus between 2 CPU 315-2DP

tudong Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear all! I'm a new memeber. I have 2 CPU 315-2DP, each of them has an ET200M. Now i want to connect them via Profibus. Please tell me the solution in this case. Thanks!

Master / Slave communication is also a solution (if you have a DP port not used as master). Remember that a DP port of a S7-300 can't work at same time as master and as slave. In this case you must use a additiona CP to do it. There is however another solution, that not envolve costs:use MPI network for the communication (prerequisit: up to 50m and both sides at same earth). See the help file of the SFC X_GET, X_PUT of the standard library / system function blocks. It is not so fast like Profibus, but for no time critical interlocks it's ok.[;)]
