Emil747 Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	Hey I need help with afrequency converter. I need thefrequency converter to controll a pump that pumps water in a tank. I have a 1215 DC/DC/DC cpu with a analot output. i'm a little lost on how I should do this. Any ideas?

Are you sure your type of pump likes to be regulated with a FC? regards, Marcjan

The pump is allready controlled by anfrequency converter but I need to control the drive so that it runs at the frequency I need in terms of how much water is in the tank

The pump is allready controlled by anfrequency converter but I need to control the drive so that it runs at the frequency I need in terms of how much water is in the tank Are you looking for a PID control for a plc analog output proportional to the frequency setpoint to the drive that will pump according to the level in a tank that has flow in and out? Or are you trying to say pump water to maintain level in a tank like in a city above-ground reservoir / tank? The way it makes sense to me is a PID control, maybe just PI, based on level input and pump setpoint as the PID output but if there are other considerations, you may need to explain further.

Yes. it's pretty simluar on what I'm trying to make, but I'm not quite sure how to program this

You may also be able to configure the drive to perform the control for you and simply issue a setpoint, and tell it to turn on/off.
