Hi, I want to improve my wincc program because it shows some wrong tag names. I edited the name of the block the tag refers to, but I did that after I had downloaded it already to the servers, so it did not update. And with new downloads to the server it does not ''catch'' the new name I read that I needed to do this: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/tag-name-in-block-icons/140174/?page=0&pageSize=10 So thats what I did. Only one thing went wrong here before. I did a full compile of my project but it remained stuck at 99%, so I shut the program down. Only after that it kept giving the message during start up of simatic manager that ''project contains errors in the internal data structures''. So I fixed it with 'save as with Reorganization', and moved the project to a different folder. Now it does not give the error message anymore during start up and I can compile and download to the plc just as before. Anyway, I now want to do a full compile of my OS server to update my wincc tags. Only then it gives the warning ''compiling entire os will lead to the loss of the online download capability of the OS OS_SERVER. And I dont want that, what should I do? |

Hi AGrS, If you want the tag names to be changed-> Instead of consisting of Hierarchy/Chart to Chart, you can open the Create/Update block icons function via the Plant View->Plant hierarchy of the OS assignment. If you change the setting (see attachment), and press OK, the block icons will be generated without doing a full compile or change compile OS. The tagnames are changed accordingly. PS: The view is from v8.1, it is different than v8.0.
