Hi,

my new IOT2050 is not booting correctly. When starting the device the stat led is green but after roughly 10-20s it vanishes completely. PWR stays green. Connected monitors stay black. I tried to boot with image from stick and sd card but no change. No connection with putty with IP192.168.200.1 and no ping possible. Connection with UART is not working either. I checked even the installed battery which has 3.15V. Connected power supply has 24V.

I mounted the image V1.1.1 and 1.04 on sd card/stick with win32diskimager on a windows pc. I have no clue which firmware is installed.

I have no idea what the problem is. Is the hardware defect??? Can you please help us?

I have the same problem with IOT2050 Basic FS:02.

After few seconds STAT led remains red. I connected with DP to monitor and no video signal. I used Win32 imager with example_image_V1.1.1. Also I noticed overheating problems. Overheated without doing anything!

Hi,

I've used a cable display port to HDMI as I have no monitor with display port. I will organize the monitor and try it again. 

I have bought this device last week at an austrian webshop. It should be brand new...

I checked the COM-port in the device manager and used the same number. I set 115200 speed in device manager and in putty. I tried all flow control options but no success either. The putty window stays black. Same as the monitor screen. 

When do you normally see the first line at the screen or in the putty window? As the STAT light vanishes after 15-20s maybe the boot sequence starts at this moment but the hardware is already shutting down. Which would mean I have to send it back...

the monitor with display port did the trick. I was able to setup the system. Still don't know why the serial connection doesn't work but I will get a different cable and try it again. I used a DSD Tech FT232 stick and connected each pin according to the user manual but probably this is not enough....

anyway thank you very much! System works and I can use the device now as wished...

I have the same issue but I dont have any DP monitor.

Hi Marco,

In my case the connection with the DP worked fine. As described  the adapter to HDMI and the cheaper solution to connect to the UART port didn't work. I can only suggest to buy the UART cable recommended by the support or connect with a DP monitor. I only needed it once. Since then everything worked perfect with putty or powershell using the SSH connection. The device works great but for the first setup you need one of these items... at least in my case.
