Tester29 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, The goal: I want to use a Logo to: 1. Control light circuits with a 24V bus. The light-circuit offcourse is 230V. 2. Apply a more integelligent use of the Logo functions later on. My Question: It is not clear to me which Logo to buy. 12/24V or 230V. I am thinking about buying a Logo 12/24V Starterkit (6ED1057-3BA00-0AA6) + a Logo powersupply (6EP1331-1SH03). So I have 24V on the switches (Input ), but can I switch 230V circuit on the Q output without having to buy extra modules? I would like to be sure before I buy it. Thanks!

You want to control 230V so you need the R(elais) version. You may need a clock, that brings us to the RC vesion. Ethernet? RCE version(0BA7 only). peterakos Posts: 51 Rating: (5)	@Tester29. In my home i use multiple LOGO!'s normal light control are 230V versions these are more easy to control by normal light switches. The central heating and solar boiler are 24VDC more safe because of water contact from sensors.... Al are relay version, just keep the maximum rating in mind and in case your power line is affected by voltage problems the i strongly advise use a surge protection. My last tip use memory SD cards it helps a lot many times i experimend with the software, incase i want to go back to orginal working condition a reboot is engough and the memory card will upload automatic.unless i am happy and also write the memory card. Ps the logo is for me the perfect tools for home automation.

TheShinySuicune Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi peterakos I understand that you use regular light switches on 230V as your Logo inputs, for which of course a 230V Logo is needed. On the outputs, do you simply connect the different lights themselves to the Q's on the Logo? Or are there any external relays involved? If possible, you could also send me a wiring scheme of your installation, as I'm very interested in building this in my house too. Thank you in advance.

peterakos Posts: 51 Rating: (5)	Hi There, sorry for for my delayed reply , i am traveling for my work and do not have always internet or time.... Drawings i can not send because i do not have them on my laptop. To make clear i use multiple LOGO's some 24VDC others 230VAC, all are networked. the 230VAC have direct inputs 230 V from switches and or push buttons also i use a few radar's and infrared sensors for movement detection to start light out side. The 24VDC is for my heating and generator setup, i have a few movement sensors that are also 24VDC and are connected here and by use of the network they start / stop lights 230V. Also temp. sensors and pressure sensors are connected on the 24VDC logo by use of PT100 and AM extensions. Because all lights are LED type i am well within the limitations from the logo relay and as so i do not use external relays. only my water pressure buffer pump (incase in the summer the network pressure drops) Has a external power relay , the pump is 1200W but now i can switch of L1 & N. The result is a simple wireing setup and most of the interconnections , timers and other functions are done within the logo's and its network. Two TDE's are used for local control and one touch screen i use (still under redesign) Lately i totally isolated the automation network from the computer network that solved speed problems and safety.
