LOGOSOFT Teleservice : PSTN & GSM modems with LOGO 0BA6

NA Simatic Posts: 41 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have an application with Logo 0BA6 ( Logo TD) for generator sets switchboards ( similar to Micro Automation Set 29) and I want to add teleservice functionality to it: Teleservice means full functionality with Logosoft (transparent connection that allows download and upload of logo programs, monitoring and changing of variables... and not like Insys GSM modem). Did anybody test it (is there a tested modem configuration [PSTN & GSM], INSYS or other brand). Please help find a solution because this is decisive factor as to chose logo or not at all( other similar productshave this feature as a built-in functionality e.g. Zelio from Telemecanique)! Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, I'm not an expert in Modem configuration. In General LOGO! requires a 11bit protocoll. GSM is a 10 bit Protocol. But the most modem allow to change the communiction on the RS232 side to 11 bit. Even if the communication on the GSM side is 10 bit. To get more information you need an Modem expert hwo is able to support you with the change of the protocol. Please post your results because I have got similar reqiests like this in the past but had no enough time to find a sullotion. Regards Helmut

Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	Hi, I tested it with the modem INSYS Pocket 56 K (like Siemens describes in the manual). This worked great. Upload / download / online-test I had the components like shown in the training slide 134: http://www.automation.siemens.com/logo/html_76/support/05Training/index.html So you need 2 serial LOGO! cables and a special LOGO! modem cable: 6ED1057-1CA00-0BA0 beside the modems. But i have no experience with other analog modems. Hope this was helpful.
