Sulung Bronze Member Joined: 5/26/2007 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 127 Rating: (3)	I have OP17. it is damage now. i am planning to use winCC flexible RT with PC. i got an old file with extension pda, par, rpa,arh, mdx, clip organizer media package. i do not know what it is. when i try to open *.pda file using Protool V6.0 SP2. The first error message is as follows "Your project was created ith ProTool V1.x. In Protool V2.0 and later, projects are stored in a single file. The directory having the project name is no longer required" When i acknowledge this the following popup box appears "The required Device type "" is not supported by the ProTool version installed. Check the entries in the C:\Siemens\protool\protool.ini file" i guess this files were the original OP17 one. my problem is how i am going to migrate it to winCC flexible. Please help. thank you

Sulung Bronze Member Joined: 5/26/2007 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 127 Rating: (3)	thanks wizard, i do not know anything about protool v1. my file doesn't have *.pdb extension. i just have the file with my first thread extension. my question is it a protool file? if yes how could i open it? if not does anybody know what kind of file is it? i manage to download the program from OP17 by prosave. is there a way to run it with protool rt? thank you in advance

(All files are in a subirectory with the same name as the main file.) My opinion is you can't open with version 6.0. On the other side, this type of panel OP17 can be manage with Protool from version 3.0. Did you look at Wizard's link? About Prosave backup. You can only download to the same type of panel. Can't be editable this file. You want to migrate to WinCC Flex. In his case you need to change type of panel. Op17 is not supported by WinCC Flex. Look at WinCC flexible 2008 Migration (Migration from OP17 to OP177B). I suggest you to start to build by yourselves in WinCC Flex new project with new panel, using information from OP17 which you can see from prosave file backup. - Author name - Date of compilation - password Supervisor - configured Panel Adress - configured speed PLC - configured PLC Adress - Slot PLC - Rack PLC - tag adress - adress of AlarmMessages and EventMessages (Area Pointers) You need tool to see this data. Look for in Google. I am sure, you can find it easy. regards
