Hello I have to configure a DCS system with two engineering stations, two redundant servers and two operator stations. Any modification to the whole PCS7 multiproject should be fully possible from the both ES (except of simultanious modifications of course). Is it about multiuser engineering ? If it is the case, how do I configure the two ES ? I have read this document, but I still have some ambiguities. |

Hello Amen Allah , As far as I know ,The respective project is located on an Engineering server (This Engineering server will be configured in your multi-project ) which is accessed by the individual ES (second ES ) , it can be part of your project or has been removed for editing . of course there are some preconditions for this such as : using Windows server in the Engineering server for performance reasons , PCS 7 must be installed locally in other ES ,the specific ES must be directly connected to the system bus to download the AS or to test the OS functions,... by this way , from your ES server , you can have tow possibility : 1- Organization in the multi project net : by "saving as.." project from your Engineering server to other ES named x 2-Organization without multi project net : by " Remove for editing " and "Reapply after editing..." There is one workflow in your document page 39 -. Therefore , in the ES x you will be able to access to : the HW config , Symbol table , create process Tag , CFC , SFC ,compile and load in AS however , in the Engineering server : after the creation of the multi project , Mater data Lib ,..you will be able to compile and load AS and OS , configure the OS , Load the OS , archive the multi project .... In general , the multi user Engineering is like one Engineering Server for Leading the project , and other ES for specific tasks during the project development or commissioning... This what I have as information , I'm just using " Remove for editing " and "Reapply after editing..." in my previous project regards |
