PCS7 V8.0 SP2 with Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 64 bit

My question is, will PC7 8.0 SP2 work on this operating system? ---------------------------- New subject after splitting from PCS7 V8.0 SP2 with Windows 7 Pro.

bg2492 Diamond Member Joined: 5/16/2014 Last visit: 9/12/2022 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2172)	Hello tashinz, only Windows 2008 Server SP2 Standard Edition (32-Bit) or Windows 2008 Server R2 SP1 Standard Edition (64-Bit) was tested and released for this version, but not other version of Windows 2008. This does not really mean, that it would not work with Windows 2008 Server SP2 Standard Edition (64-Bit). Regards Georg Berghof

Hello tashinz, if it is not in compatibility list, it has not been tested and approved. It might work, but you will have to find out yourself - you will be test pilot. And if it works, of course there will be nowarranty from Siemens. So I could not recommend doing so. In my opinion the risk is too high. regards
