Hi, There is many ways to diagnose profibus. See Diagnostics tools for commissioning the PROFIBUS DP network or What settings do you make in the Amprolyzer V3.2 to record the messages of a PROFIBUS network and trigger recording on the occurrence of a PROFIBUS event? for example. Options are limitless. If you have a specific issue it is easier to comment on. |

Hi, There is no general fault so there is no recipe for fault finding. Accurate network diagrams and Diagnostic tools(Amprolyzer, Profitrace or even online HW config) should be enough to draw a logical conclusion. Anyways the general rule applies that good quality physical installation allow higher speed, and the poor installation perform better on lower bus speed. Information on installation Guidelines are here. |
