Hi vipz I was trying to interface a RS232 Modem with 1SI Module and faced similar problems. Despite following all wiring guidelines, was not able to establish any communication using RS232. Finally I configured the 1SI module as RS485 and used a RS232 to RS485 convertor. This worked like a charm !! Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

If you have a backup of existing system available , even if it is un-commented, you should be able to figure out the following : a) 1SI Module Type and Protocol Type Selected ( As per Kaulquappe's post ) b) Data Blocks in which received data is stored From the Block parameters of FB2( Hopefully the program is not Know_how_Protected ) If you can see the data on Hyperterminal, I would assume it is in the form of ASCII strings ( Correct me if I am wrong ). If so, you need to use ASCII protocol on 1SI Module. and of course use FC2 ( S_RCV ) to read data from 1SI Module. If it is possible, you can upload the code here so that we can help. Cheers Navnag |
