Hello panchal; When using an EM 277, you can setup the S7-200 as a Profibus-DP slave, and set it up to exchange data with a DP master. As a slave, you cannot initiate the exchanges or hold the configutration for the Profibus network, but you can recieve and send data to the master. Here is an FAQ that describes a sample application between a EM 277 slave and a S7-300 Profibus-DP master. It should help you design your own application. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/2615830 Remember, the S7-200 is a CPU, and as such it is considered an intelligent DP-slave. You must establish an "exchange table" from which the data will be recieved and sent to the master, hence the use of V-memory registers as a buffer. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
