S7 224 no longer communicating after a program download

AutoGen_5677183 Joined: 9/26/2023 Last visit: 8/27/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a CPU 224 which has stopped communicating with both it's Siemens interface (6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0) and an ACCON NetLink-PRO which had no problem UNTIL I tried to download another program onto it. Nothing unusual except for the part that when trying to download the program in the PLC there was only the “System Block” checkbox was checked. Immediatly after downloading, the PLC lost cummunication and I'm unable to make it communicate back up. When perfoming Diagnostics -> Read MLFB number, from SetPG/PC Interface, I can see that on address 1 there is a station active, which is the plc in question. What am I doing wrong and what to do to access the plc again? Thanks!

AutoGen_5677183 Joined: 9/26/2023 Last visit: 8/27/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Managed to use the WIPEOUT tool (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ro/en/view/2123168) from Siemens using the interface 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0 and an Windows XP machine and now all is good
