Hi user-with-a-long-name, The trends itself are saved under the TRG folder of the project on the local PC station. Before v7.1, the trends were saved as .TRG files which is basically a text file. Since then, the trends are saved as .TRC files, which is an XML format. When you open the WinCC OnlineTrendControl Properties and go to tab: "Online configuration", you can see a few settings. Do not retain: Means the changes are not saved and are gone at the next picture change Retain during runtime: Means the configuration is changed only in runtime. When you exit runtime, the settings are lost. Retain permanently: Means the configuration is saved permanently. Also when a restart is executed.

Hi again, One of the main advantages of PCS7 is the automatic generation of process objects in WinCC (block icons). Each block in CFC with OCM capability (Operator Control and Monitoring) can have alarms. Those alarms are configured in the CFC block and during compilation of the OS; the alarms appear in the Alarm Logging editor. You don't have to do anything with creating Message Classes and Types. In order to activate this on your OS, you have to go to WinCC Explorer of the OS server project, go to Computer->right click the computer name->Properties->Startup and in the WinCC Runtime Start up Order you must enable: "Alarm Logging Runtime". Note that clients do not have alarm logging, but they get the alarms from the server. For the Taglogging, you can activate this as follows: In each CFC block are parameters which could have the "Archive" property. You can insert such a block in CFC like for example: "OpDi01" (APL library), open the properties and go to parameter: "SetOp". Under tab: "Archive", you can select three options: - No archiving (obvious) - Archiving (During OS compile, this parameter is created in the TagLogging editor of WinCC and thus is logged in the databases) - Long-term archiving (This option is specifically for use with the Process Historian which is a basically a separate PC with a load of storage to store tags, with this option, the tags are sent to PH) The option you want normally is Archiving. The TagLogging is already default enabled in the WinCC Runtime Start Up Order. When you open TagLogging editor in WinCC explorer, you can change the configuration. You can store the tags in segments, with a maximum size, the time period and even set a backup path where the segments are stored. See the helpfile in WinCC->Working with WinCC->Archiving Process Values for more information about the topic. I hope this is the answer you're looking for... |
