well... let me try to answer your questions.

to 1. The switch "learns" the connected devices for the Switch itself you do not need configuration, just use it as a cable. The configuration that is needed is the configuration of the CP.

to 2. see 1. [8)]

to 3. Diagnostic tools for the Switch are not available, the Switch you use is not a manageable Switch. The Diagnostics can be handled by the CP, e.g. NCM S7 Diagnostics.

to 4. Not as far as I can see. [:)]

1) This switch is like ''plug and play'' device...? do I need any other setups in S7 (HW config)or on the switch in order to communicate ?
2) If an anwser on my first question is yes, how canI fix the problem if one apperes...
3) Can I use any type of diagnostic tool if I get errors with communication...
4) Any otherwarning or comment is more then wellcome ..

- with the button the switch is learning a mask of the used ports, if one or more of them are broken down then the RED LED is lichting and the contact is switched;
