I have the task of managing 2 pumps with pressure regulators for a water transmission system. At present the control is with 2 pumps - pump 1 is controlled by a frequency converter and pump 2 with softstarter. Like the one with the frequency converter is the basic one and when the job reaches a threshold value I run it with the soft starter. We stop this soft starter when the drive setpoint falls below a certain value. The idea of ​​regulating the two pumps with frequency controllers is a smoother adjustment. The first pump works until it can maintain the set pressure and the other is switched on when the pump 1 is unable to maintain the set pressure.
