SonicRanger Posts: 151 Rating: (8)	Hi Chook, Our way of work is to have defective units investigated by the repair department or R&D, and ask for a test report if weneed so. Do you already have contacts in Karlsruhe / Hagenau? I think the factory is the only party who is able to judge if a unitcan be replaced under warranty. In the process industry,there can be many conditions which can occur wherein a transmittercan be exposed to "out-of-spec" pressure or voltage. But anyway, I think nowadays we have with the sitrans P DSIII a very good, accurateand rugged pressure transmitter. Regards, SonicRanger.

Only to check what's cause the damage, I think you can replace some parts to check. youneed some tools to disconnect the unit. Replace the electronic board, if it woks well, then maybe it is over voltage or eroded.Replace the sensor, if it works well, maybe it is over pressure. I have done some onsite service for the SITRANS P. I also believe its quality.
