Hello, I need to purchase a SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional license to configure S7-1200 and S7-1500 CPUs. I used the TIA Selection Tool to target the right reference, but there is something I do not understand. TIA ST proposes me two references (see attachment) : -SIMATIC STEP 7 PROF. TIA PORTAL SUS DL:6ES7822-1AE00-0YY0 (Snip) If I understand it correctly, the first license is sold with an annual contract (SUS) that maintain the version updated if needed, the other one it sold without contract. And both are floating licenses. Which option should I choose, depending on the fact that the SUS contract can be release before one year ? Thank you in advance. Xav |

SUS only applies to an existing license, and allows for applying updates to the existing license. So, if you purchase the V19 Pro and never expect to update to a newer version, you can skip the SUS license. However, if you expect to update more often than (2248.40/452.10) years, SUS makes economical sense.
