Transparent background on graphics

sawmaster Advanced Member Joined: 9/24/2009 Last visit: 3/13/2023 Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Ever since TIA11 SP1 the transparent setting has not worked on graphics. Has anyone else seen this problem? I have several of the same graphics that would be used for buttons that will show a white background. Basicly ever since SP1 this has not worked. The problem remains in SP2 and I don't seem to be getting anywere with Siemens. At this point I have to use TIA11 without SP1 for the HMI and with SP1 for the plc. This has to be done in 2 diffrent VM's since both programs must be on the same sp. Is there a fix for this that somone knows of? Help please.

See my article "First experiences with TIA and Comfort panel TP700" I had the same problem with WinCC Flex 2008, back then it help to use another editor to create the transparent images.We usedPaint Shop Pro to get things working. Please post the solutions if you find it. In my previous project i didn't use transparency. I try to work around "transparency" usuage because the WinCC Flexstill doesn't support transparency support with images on Buttons. Itwould be a big step forward if that would be supported.. but i guess the developers are busy fixing other issues which of course have priority over nice to have features. good luck, Remark

We have a version of or control that we use symbols in place of words for international use. What is strang it all looks fine in TIA11 when your working on it. If you download or use the simulator the problem shows up. I belive it's more of a problem if I use the graphic more than once in a screen. They changed something in TIA11 SP1. It's got me looking for other non-Siemens HMI options.

MKS02 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Any progress on this one? Is there a software update solving this problem? Maybe I SP3 available? I’m attending to upgrade from wincc 2008 to wincc v11. I really need this transparency function because I’m making a costume made simulation. The reason for my upgrade is, I need to program a SIMATIC HMI TP900 Comfort. In wincc 2008 I knew that not every device type supports transparency on the Graphics view. For example: -> The Basic panels doesn’t. -> The OP 270 10" does. I don't know if the TP900 comfort supports this anyway?

Hello sawmaster, What exactly do you mean by transperent setting? In which object you use this setting?
