using LOGO with SSR for small inductive loads ?

boatverk Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Forum. I have an application that seems well-suited for LOGO. The application requires switching 24VDC solenoids of pneumatic valves. Their relevant specfications: power: 5.4W inrush: 10.9VA = 0.091A holding: 7.7VA = 0.064A energize: 6ms de-energize: 2ms Can inductive loads like this be used with the SSR versions of LOGO ? Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, does SSR means Solid State Relais? If this is right then there is a misunderstanding because Solid State Relais are not available in LOGO!. In LOGO! you can get mechanical relais. The specification you can find in the LOGO! manual. Go to www.siemens.com/logo. Here you can find all information aboute LOGO! and you can also download the manual free of charge. I hope this helps

cdrshort Bronze Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 3/29/2024 Posts: 134 Rating: (16)	all logo version without the R at the end of thename are equiped with tranzistor outputs and acording to the manual page 252 the switching rate is 10 hz for electrical /ohmic and 0.5 hz for inductive load and is only depend from the program cycle time .also this modules when thismodules are switchted onthey give a singal 1 at all outptouts for 50ms which is somthing that we have to take in consideration .
