What is the difference between PTT and CFC.

MY project folder has a mixture of PTT and CFCs. (i have analog monitoring CFC and i have motor PTT) .is that alright?

Your project Chart folder should have only CFC or Process Tag. Process Tag Chart is created by Import-Export Assistant (IEA) from Process Tag Type Template (PTT) in the Project Master Data Library. 

After generate, functionality wise, there are both the same. Just that during bulk engineering, if you have a lot of Type A charts, you will create a PTT, create IEA file, import all Type A charts with a single click.

but CMT does have its disadvantage also? since it does not cater for bulk engineering the same way IEA works for PTT.

using CMT, i would still need to copy paste the CMT from my library into the intended plant hierachy folder.?

I was in favor of CMT but PTT saves time from the copy paste from library to the hierachy folder.
