Where can find LPNDR blocks?

I have seen something similarly done in a project with TIAv15.1. I don't know where the LPNDR_... blocks are coming from, since the library hadn't been saved with the project. Can you please tell me where to find those? Thank you very much. Moments after writing this, I found it on the website. Not to worry anymore. I have found the blocks, but the problems didn't end there. I have managed to populate the FB's interface (correctly, I hope, as there are no errors) and looked through the DB for it. The purpose of this project is to identify the IP addresses of all devices, plugged into the Scalance at any time. There are many things to read from the switch, but not all memory areas in the DB populate when I go online with it. With SINEC-PNI I can read all the information, that I need, though. I'd like to do the same via the Scalance switch. Is that even possible? Perhaps I need a different switch or FB e.g.? Any input would be fantastic right now. Stefan Arcularius Platinum Expert Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 3271 Rating: (508)	Hi DBMN, Since I don't know the insides of SINEC PNI, I have to guess, but I'm pretty sure that SINEC PNI doesn't get the IP address of the devices connected to the switch from the switch itself. SINEC PNI will recursively query all devices to get all the information. However, "LPNDR_ReadGlobalInfo" will return the MAC address, station name, and port name of the devices connected to the switch, but not the IP address. I do not know how to program to get the IP address of a device using any of this information. So I am afraid that there is no way to do this. But to be honest, I have never been in a situation where I needed to do this. Kind regards Stefan

The reason for the IP address to matter is our network structure and the availability of access to the switches. It does happen, that a machine malfunctions due to up- or down stream problems. Sometimes its a communication fault and a good place to start, is to see what is actually connected to the network or what's missing. Also IT (OT) has assigned certain ports to certain entities and blocked others. A simple whip-around to the Scalance switches would sort the problems straightaway into categories such as IT or Automation problems. Many thanks for your expert input nevertheless.
