As to what it offers over and above SP3, I guess we will need to wait for the general release. Just adding my two pence ...

Peter Posts: 83 Rating: (8)	Is this new SP4 backward compatible with SP3? Remember we had a BIG problem when updating from SP2 to SP3... I do not want to repeat that situation again with SP4. Could somebody clarify this? Thanks. Peter

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi Peter, normally any software is just forward compatible and not backward => just try to open a new WORD-document with an old Word-installation..... =>in your case I´d try to open your SP4 project on a SP3 machine, because I guess, that no one will give you an official statementconcerning backward-compatibility. regards, nemo

Peter Posts: 83 Rating: (8)	Hi Nemo, Thanks for your reply :D This issue "backward compatibility" WinCC V6 SP3 to SP2 had once cost us a hugeee problem and money. Can you imagine to reinstalled WinCC on all your client PC (even they are now in production) because of this issue? All over the world? I received the same answer like yours from Siemens Support. Really a pity how Siemens cares about their customer :( Peter
