To migrate from WinCC Advanced to WinCC Professional, it was 80% re-engineering needed.
Now to migrate from WinCC Anvanced to WinCC Unified, there ist nearly 100% re-engineering needed, as I can see today... Where are the Faceplate into the Unified Project? Why a copy-paste doesn't work for a simple text object?

Is coming a migration tool , or is "unified" only the name? What is the idea there??

you are right: in this, first version of WinCC Unified, there is no "migration too" for WinCC Advanced to WinCC unified.

At this momment, the main focus is to use WinCC Unified in green fields, new projects. But your necessity is clear, and Siemens know about it. We should wait for the next versions.

My initial idea was to create a new global library from a custom library (that includes FB, UDT and faceplates) that would use WinCC Unified faceplates. But if there is no migration tool for WinCC Comfort to WinCC Unified faceplates, I think i will create my views with my WinCC Comfort faceplates on a Comfort pannel and use your Data2Unified tool to create the corresponding Unified views in a Unified panel.

Or are you not registered to download export restricted files? There is no other remedy than filling out the form to request for permission to download these files. Speak to your local Siemens representative if you are having difficulty.
