Dear All,

I am using siemens safety microbox with two Ethernet port one of them is communicating over TCP/IP and second port is over PN.

my issue is :

- I want to monitor the messages between microbox and the devices which is communicating through PN .

- so I installed wireshark in microbox and when i tried to detect PN port i did not find it, I found only the Ethernet port but PN port is not detected at all.

so what should i do to monitor PN port messages.

so i will not be able to read the messages over PN by using WIRESHARK without having this adaptor.

There are many solutions provided on the web, simply we have used the Procentec interface before and can vouch for it.

For example, Lenze explains in this link why a switch cannot provide a valid interface for Wireshark, whereas a simple hub could:

I strongly suggest you start a Google search on Wireshark with Profinet and select the solution that matches your requirements.
