Hello SolutionFinder; This 15-port connector is known as an AUI interface, and to connect an Ethernet CP using such an interface with a network you needed a special nterface block known as a transceiver. It acted as a media converter to the network.This is explained in the following manual: S7-CPs for Industrial Ethernet Configuring and Commissioning Manual Part A - General Application Annex A3 also has the pinout of the AUI 15-pin connector. I do not believe transceivers are available any morefor a RJ-45 connection. Butour friendJ_Bell proposes an alternative in the following thread: DTE AUI port to Ethernet converter

Dear dchartier & UMENCHO, Thanks for your fast response. But I want to communicate the same with PC through Ethernet only. I want to use wincc flexible runtime & to communicate PLC through this module CP 443-1 as mentioned above & for that I have made cable as UMENCHO has given the manual from the page no 4-31 i) Pinning of the TP XP Cord 15/RJ-45 Will it work? |
