sinamics drive clique port protection from dust

in212576 Posts: 56 Rating: (7)	Dear Mothilal, To protect the Drive Cliq port from dust & fine particals, siemens provided cliq shaped rubber stopper, whichyou can put inside so, no dust and fine particals go inside. That is the best possible solution for the cliq ports. Regards, Shank

Unfortunately I do not see available a picture example of the internal version. Attached is scan pdf of catalog page showing as part of picture the external dust cover (IP67 protection rating). Graeme Platinum Member Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 11/7/2024 Posts: 1503 Rating: (325)	Using standard panel mounted Drive-Cliq modules, which as you have said are populated with Drive-Cliq cables, then I do not know of any additional provision for dust protection (given that the general rating for the drives start at IP54) I would attack at the source this by making sure your cooling circuit is well maintained using the correct grade of filter fabric, or even better, use heat exchangers and instill a proper mindset in the maintenance personnel (i.e. KEEP THE DOORS CLOSED) But, as I'm sure you have seen, this usually only lasts for 6 months. I have seen some very expensive cooling/refridgeration solutions installed in panels and then the gland/base plate is just left out. WHAT IS THE POINT???? My rant is now over . . . Regards, Graeme
