I have worked quite a bit in the past 14 years with Siemens Step 5 and Step 7 but never really got into using FBs, instance DBs, and local variables. I am working on a Step 7 project now that is loaded with all of the above. This is on a 12? year old machine from Europe that I am assisting with "bringing it back to life." I have attached the project so you can see what is up. I had to add a few changes to the program for testing and now I have to get rid of 2 of those rungs that are in FB2. I have been unable to download because I get this message..."The block cannot be saved because the declaration table contains invalid entries". The table does showSTAT0 and STAT172 entries in red. I have tried "Check and update accesses", recompiling, and updating the declarations...with no luck. I started on this project with an upload of the actual working program, and then added the symbols from another program that had correct symbols for the I/O but not correct code. That worked fine. Then I copied in some of the DBs from that other program to get the DB symbols and comments. That is maybe where I created my problem? Not sure. Didn't have any problems with other mods until I tried to take out these 2 rungs. The compile shows problems with several blocks. I have attached zip file for the system I am working on. I am trying to get rid of the 2 rungs at the end of FB2 (the 2 MOVE rungs). Please note: The program I am working with is the SIMATIC 300(B) program (2 CPUs in project). The SIMATIC 300(A) program is the unchanged original upload. (There are 2 identical machines, and once B is finished, I will copy to A) Any assistance greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
